Electroplating – Finishing for Durable and High-Quality Metal Surfaces
Electroplating is an essential process for refining metal surfaces. Through electrochemical coating processes, metals are not only visually enhanced but also protected from corrosion and their resistance increased. Whether for industrial applications, vehicle parts, or decorative elements – high-quality electroplating ensures durable and functional metal products.
Precision and Quality in Surface Finishing
Our range of services in electroplating includes various coating processes, such as:
✔ Chrome Plating – for shiny, resistant surfaces with high durability
✔ Nickel Plating – protects against corrosion and provides a noble appearance
✔ Passivation & Sealing – for additional protection and extended lifespan
Why Electroplating is Crucial for Metal Processing
Through the targeted use of galvanic processes, metal surfaces can not only be visually refined but also functionally optimized. High-quality coatings increase lifespan, improve resistance, and ensure a uniform, appealing surface.

Frequently asked questions about electroplating
1. What is the difference between electroplating and chrome plating?
Electroplating refers to the entire electrochemical process by which metals are refined with a conductive layer, such as nickel, zinc, or chrome.
Chrome plating is a specific application of electroplating in which chrome is used as the coating material. The aim is to simultaneously protect and visually enhance surfaces.
2. How environmentally friendly is the chromium-III process?
The chromium-III process is now regarded as an environmentally friendly alternative to the earlier chromium-VI process. It meets all current EU requirements (REACH) and does not require highly toxic chromium compounds.
At the same time, it offers comparable corrosion resistance and gloss quality with significantly lower environmental impact and safer working conditions.
3. Which metals can be electroplated?
In principle, all conductive metals can be electroplated. The following are frequently coated:
- Steel and stainless steel
- Copper and brass
- Zinc die-casting
Combinations of several metal layers are also possible, such as copper-nickel-chrome, in order to optimize appearance and protective effect.
4. How long does an electroplated coating last?
The service life depends on several factors, in particular layer thickness, material, environmental influences, and care.
High-quality electroplated coatings, such as those used by LMV, can last for many years and offer lasting corrosion protection even under heavy use.
electroplated surfaces
Our electroplated surfaces are used in numerous industries – wherever function, aesthetics and longevity are required. Using state-of-the-art processes and maximum precision, we create surfaces that meet both technical requirements and design demands.
